Juliet L. King, MA, ATR-BC, LMHC is the director of the Graduate Art Therapy program at Herron School of Art and Design and adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at the IU School of Medicine. She earned her Master of Art in Art Therapy degree from Hahnemann University and has spent the last 15 years as a clinician, administrator and professor of art therapy education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Ms. King has worked extensively with children and adolescents diagnosed with behavioral and conduct disorders. She has direct experience with adult forensic, rehabilitation, psychiatric inpatient and aging adult populations, using art therapy assessment and intervention to promote physiological and emotional health. Through her work as clinical director for a large, urban non-profit community mental health center in Philadelphia, Professor King has developed art therapy internship programs and provided in-service training, lectures and presentations locally and nationally.

Through multiple collaborations within the city of Indianapolis and surrounding communities, Ms. King is developing clinical art therapy internship programming for people in medical and healthcare settings. Her current research focuses on the integration of art therapy and neuroscience and has written a text book scheduled for publication in 2016 on Art Therapy, Trauma and Neuroscience: Theoretical and Practical Perspectives.
